ASACA was founded in 1979 by Bay Area artists and friends interested in Chinese culture with Pei-Jen Hau as its guiding spirit. Its purpose has been to promote the awareness, knowledge, and interest in Chinese art through cultural exchange, education, and exposure. The group sponsors lectures, painting classes, films, travel, and exhibitions.
